About Todayโs Guest, Michael Marquardt
Michael T. Marquardt is the CEO of Epi-One, Inc., a biotech startup focused on revolutionizing early cancer detection and diagnosis. With over 25 years of global experience in healthcare and technology, he has advised corporations worldwide and serves as a board member, chair, and advisor to several organizations across industries. Michael is deeply committed to ending cancer after losing several loved ones, including his first wife, to the disease.
He is the immediate past Chair of the American Cancer Society (ACS) Board of Directors and has a long history of leadership within the organization. He chaired the ACS South Atlantic Division Board, received the St. George National Award in 2017, and served on the ACS Cancer Action Networkโs Board from 2014 to 2022. Currently, he chairs the Nominating Sub-Committee and serves on the Governance and Human Capital Committees.
Michael is also a Board Leadership Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and a Commissioner for the Future of the American Board. In 2022, President Biden appointed him to the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of Americaโs Heritage Abroad.
